Ronald Bastien, Senior Programs Manager, Greening Youth Foundation

Born in Queens, NY and raised in Georgia, Ronald is a first-generation graduate holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in History. A history buff and an avid writer, Ronald was afforded the opportunity to write a chapter in the publication “In Plain Sight: African Americans at Andersonville National Historic Site” in conjunction with the National Park Service. The work was an opportunity for himself and other contributing authors to highlight the historical contributions African-Americans made at Andersonville National Historic Site.

Ronald’s professional career has entailed working with non-profit organizations across Atlanta focused on education and youth development. He has a passion for serving the community and ensuring students have the tools necessary to be successful in all facets of life. As a former history major, Ronald recognizes the amazing opportunities the Greening Youth Foundation provides as students gain invaluable experience and is ecstatic to be a part of the journey as those students work towards a bright future in the field of conservation.
