Daniel Jones was born and raised in Illinois, he currently holds a B.S. and M.S. in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration from Western Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance with a specialization in leisure and youth studies from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. With almost a decade of experience working with at-risk and disabled youth, he has presented lectures and sessions on leisure activity and consumer satisfaction, resiliency at camp, the importance of minority recruitment, and youth development versus a problems-based approach at conferences from New York to California.
Daniel has a great appreciation for culture and youth development, which has allowed him to travel through Europe, South America and Latin America. During his travels he has gained a number of hands on experiences, while studying a range of topics such as intellectual property, outdoor recreation and inclusion, and recreation in Spain.
Daniel has a passion for uplifting the community, and advocating for young people. He looks forward to continuing this vision with the Greening Youth Foundation family.
