Bijan Dendtler was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Even though raised in the city, both sides of her family were and still are avid gardeners. Nature and the outdoors was a constant in her life from NYC parks to the gorges of Ithaca upstate NY. She attended Brooklyn Botanical Garden as a camper in the Summer Program, as did her father in his youth. She later returned to BBG as a landscape architect student at Morrisville State College to become a camp consular in that same program, just like her grandmother before her.
Bijan has had experience in the green industry through personal experience, educational and professional. She has also worked in the field of early childhood education. Managing and working as program director at NYS licensed daycare centers. She was called to moved her life to Georiga to pursue her passions in earthwork and teaching. She is currently a midwifery student and a birth doula serving the ATL area.
