Bio Growing up near the Everglades in the Miami metropolitan area, Daniel has felt a connection to the environment and wildlife from a young age.

After learning about the life and work of oceanographer and explorer Dr. Sylvia Earle, he became inspired to become a National Park Service volunteer at Biscayne and Everglades National Parks.

From 2017-2020, Daniel worked as an intern at Everglades National Park with both the Hispanic Access Foundation and the Greening Youth Foundation conducting cultural history research, leading environmental education programs, and developing digital communications content and strategies. Beyond environmental conservation, Daniel is also interested in working on issues surrounding the rights of migrants and asylum-seekers, racial justice and inequality, and water and food security.

Daniel is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in International Development and Humanitarian Assistance from the University of Florida. He also holds an Associate of Arts from Miami Dade College.
