My name is Samantha Dunn and I am from the sunshine state, Apopka, Florida. I moved to the Nation’s Capital after separating from the Armed Forces three years ago, to attend my dream institution, Howard University. I love to spend my time traveling and networking with others, which led me to become a passionate mentor at a non-profit organization, Every Kid Outreach (EKO). At EKO I was honored to be apart of a community where we were able to provide our youth with the necessary tools to strive towards a prosperous, academic future. Ideally, I would love to use this opportunity to enhance my knowledge of African-American diaspora while meeting and learning from a group of diverse minds, and lastly take this time to appreciate the unparalleled contributions made to society by African-Americans.
