Rubitec Solar Announces Partnership with The Greening Youth Foundation – Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria

The Greening Youth Foundation has expanded its practical partnership culture with the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with Rubitec Solar, a Nigerian company that specializes in bringing renewable energy to the Nigerian population. The Foundation is excited to continue expanding its work in Nigeria, one of the biggest economies in Africa with a growing population of more than 200 million people.

In the months ahead, Rubitec Solar and Greening Youth will greater illustrate one of the most ambitious alternative energy initiatives to date. The duo will introduce an aggressive training program in Nigeria; the goal is to train 1,000 Nigerian solar technicians over the next two years. All technicians will be fully certified by international standards and ready to join the growing renewable energy workforce worldwide.

The Greening Youth Foundation (GYF) is a leading conservation education organization that introduces young people from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds to natural resource management careers. Beginning as an all-volunteer organization almost twenty years ago, Greening Youth first introduced environmental education to elementary school students in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Since then, the organization has grown from a team of three unpaid volunteers to a staff of full-time employees throughout North America, Europe, West and South Africa. From its home base in Atlanta Georgia, and its West African office in Lagos Nigeria, GYF provides environmental and conservation programming to over 10,000 children, youth and young adults annually, and manages over five hundred interns and service crew members in 40 US and Nigerian states, 2 US territories and impacting three continents.
