School: University of the Virgin Islands Major: Business Administration
My given name is Jordan Arlington Brodhurst, however people of my Cruzan dialect pronounce my name as Jahden. I was born in Renton, Washington and lived in Kent, Washington for almost half of my life. Then moved to St. Croix, Virgin Islands where I lived out the rest of my childhood and continue to live out the rest of my young adult life. I currently attend the University of the Virgin Islands Albert A. Sheen campus on St. Croix studying Business Administration. My current standing is a second semester junior preparing to enter my senior year. During my time in school I have placed myself in position valuable opportunities that have allowed me to pursue much of my passion projects relating to automotive and metal fabrication, diesel technology, welding, construction, communication, entrepreneurship, videography, and photography. During my HBCUI summer internship, I seek to continue the amazing cultural and historic project that I had the opportunity to be a part of last summer. I also intend to better my videography and photography skills so that I can document this important aspect of Virgin Island history in ways that the islands population can be aware of the projects purpose and findings.
